Overall, North Pond provides a picturesque spot to paddle and relax on warm days in Western Massachusetts. The pond is surrounded by scenic views of a local forest ecosystem, which bursts with oranges and yellows when the fall foliage arrives. There are also plenty of wildlife-viewing opportunities in the pond. Waterfowl often swim across the pond’s waters, and amphibians are easily heard in spring and summer. Fishing is also excellent throughout the year.
