Going northbound on the Appalachian Trail, visitors will soon arrive at the summit of Mount Greylock. With its scenic views of the Berkshires, this area is perfect for a lunchtime picnic. The nearby Bascom Lodge serves food and drinks throughout the summer months. Then, when the weather cools in autumn, visitors can see the vibrance of fall foliage on the mountains.
Continuing north, visitors will pass by other small trails—many of which have scenic overlooks—and then continue into the town of North Adams.
