Wildlife Viewing | Canoe/Kayak/SUP
Burbank Park Beach is an expansive swimming and picnic area managed by the City of Pittsfield. Upon arriving at the park, visitors will find a paved walking trail alongside the lake. Visitors can stroll on this trail, watch local wildlife species, and access scenic views of the Berkshires across Onota Lake. When the weather cools in autumn, these mountains burst with the oranges and yellows of fall colors.
While walking on this trail, visitors will soon arrive at a small beach and swimming area. Bathroom facilities and changing rooms are nearby, ensuring every visit is uninterrupted. The beach also features wheelchair access to the lake.
Beyond the beach area is an extensive picnic area. Numerous picnic tables and park grills rest in the shade of the surrounding forest, providing ample space for a family-friendly barbecue. Further down the lake trail, visitors will also find a boat launch and a fishing pier.
There is a small playground next to the parking lot where young kids can take a break from swimming. Benches surround the play area, allowing parents to rest in the shade while their kids play.
Visitors will find a large parking lot for Burbank Park Beach at the end of Lakeway Drive.
