About Burbank Park Boat Launch

Burbank Park Boat Launch is a boating and fishing area managed by the City of Pittsfield. The launch is a perfect starting point for a day of canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding on Onota Lake. Upon arrival, visitors will find a wide boat launch leading into the lake. Long docks border the ramp and provide ample space to tie a watercraft while parking a car and trailer. Visitors will then find a long fishing pier toward the left of the boat launch, where visitors can find many fish species (such as carp and bass).

Onota Lake, overall, is an ideal pitstop with scenic views throughout the year. Local Western Massachusetts wildlife species, including waterfowl and eagles, are abundant across the water. When the weather eventually cools in autumn, the lake also showcases the surrounding Berkshires as they burst with the oranges and yellows of fall foliage.

On the north side of the boat launch parking area, visitors will find a paved walking trail that travels alongside the lake. This path soon arrives at a picnic area and swimming beach, excellent for family barbecues alongside the lake.

A large parking lot branches to the left of Lakeway Drive. Visitors can also find an additional parking lot and a small playground at the end of the road.
