About Controy Pavilion

Controy Pavilion is a family-friendly outdoor event space alongside Lake Onota in the City of Pittsfield. The pavilion is ideal for large gatherings and outdoor concerts in Western Massachusetts.

The event space features a large stage, which the city uses for the "Live on the Lake" concert series on Wednesday evenings in July and August. There are also bathroom facilities and a full kitchen, ensuring that every gathering has the necessary supplies.

Behind the pavilion, Onota Lake offers excellent scenic views of the surrounding Berkshires. Local Western Massachusetts wildlife species, including waterfowl and eagles, are abundant across the water. When the weather eventually cools in autumn, the lake also showcases the surrounding mountains as they burst with the oranges and yellows of fall foliage.

Burbank Park is adjacent to the pavilion. At the park, visitors will find a swimming area and changing facilities. There is also an expansive picnic area with park grills and tables, perfect for family barbecues alongside the lake. Then, farther down Lakeway Drive, the park has a boat launch and fishing pier.

The parking lot for Controy Pavilion is at Burbank Park Beach, where Lakeway Drive ends. Additional parking for Burbank Park is alongside Lakeway Drive and at the boat launch.
