Things to do in Egremont
Egremont consists of two distinct Village centers, North Egremont and South Egremont. About 3.25 miles of the Appalachian Trail pass through the community.
Jug End State Reservation and Wildlife Management Area is part of the Mt. Washington State Forest and features the 3 or 4-mile Jug End Loop Trail that follows the Fenton Brook south from a parking lot. Hiking, dog walking, hunting, and fishing are all permitted on the 1,150-acre site.
Karner Brook Wildlife Management Area offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities with over twenty state-listed rare species on the 7,000-acre site as well as calcareous wetlands and important fisheries habitat.
