About Lower Spectacle Pond
Lower Spectacle Pond, once part of Spectacle Pond Farm, offers abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. The pond allows boaters to enjoy 70 acres of open water with a 2.3-mile shoreline. In early June the shore is surrounded by the gorgeous display of mountain laurel. The pond is popular with kayakers and small motorboats. The lake has several picnic tables scattered around the boat launch area. While fishing is possible, a general lack of game fish tends to discourage anglers.
Cartop and electric motors boating are permitted. No gas powered motors are allowed.
