About Greylock Glen Outdoor Center

The Greylock Glen Outdoor Center, located in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, serves as an excellent starting point for your adventures at the Glen. As one enters the Outdoor Center, the large windows look out over Mount Greylock, the tallest mountain in the state. The Outdoor Center has exhibits on the history of the Glen and the natural environment visitors can see as they wander the property. The Outdoor Center also provides environmental programming and is available for rent. Upon exiting the outdoor center, visitors can step onto the Glen Meadow Loop, an easy, family-friendly 1.57-mile loop through a meadow environment, where one can see amazing views of Mount Greylock and explore several small ponds. The Glen Meadow loop is an accessible path that allows all users to enjoy getting outside. Numerous other trails can be accessed from the Glen Meadow Loop, including several trails that go to the summit of Mount Greylock, like the Gould Trail and the Thunderbolt Trail.

Visitors can also enjoy picnicking at the Outdoor Center, where several ADK chairs are provided. Close by is a gazebo with picnic tables.
