This trailhead provides direct access to the Glen Meadows Loop in Greylock Glen. Visitors will begin by walking down a short gravel path toward the Greylock Glen Resort building. Then, when the trail ends, visitors will join the Glen Meadows Loop.
The Glen Meadows Loop is an easy, family-friendly hiking trail through wetlands and fields. The 1.5-mile path is consistently flat, wide, and packed. During spring and summer, the trail features flowery meadows with expansive scenic views of the Berkshires. These fields are also excellent spots to view local wildlife species. Birds fly between the weeping willows in the meadow, and insects are easily heard chattering in the afternoon. Elsewhere, the trail travels alongside wetlands and tranquil ponds. Visitors can listen to the frogs and watch Mount Greylock reflect across the water's ripples. Forest sections of the pathway also offer the perfect spot to watch spring flowers sprout on the forest floor.
Visitors can use the Glen Meadows Loop to connect with other trails in Greylock Glen. Some of these trails eventually reach Mount Greylock, where visitors can access panoramic views of Western Massachusetts. There are no designated parking spaces for this trailhead, so visitors should park on the shoulder of Gould Road where appropriate.
