About East Windsor Road Parking Area
The Peru Wildlife Management Area is a large forested area comprising hardwood and softwood trees, including maple, birches, ash, cherry, beech, spruce, and hemlock. Old apple orchards, beaver ponds, and meadows are scattered throughout the property, providing fantastic hunting opportunities for white-tail deer, ruffed grouse, snowshoe hare, black bear, and eastern coyote. A short way through the woods to the southeast, you will find Trout Brook, where native brook trout can be found, providing excellent fishing opportunities.
