About Canterbury Farm
Canterbury Farm in Becket is a cross-country skiing destination in the beautiful Berkshires and Western Massachusetts. The farm offers skiing, skating, and snowshoeing. Spread across 160 acres, 22 miles of groomed trails allow the visitor to experience nature in the winter. The trails go through mixed forests, with some old-growth trees, along brooks, beaver ponds, and wetlands, allowing the adventurer to see wildlife tracks in the winter. Dedicated snowshoe trails are available, which include a view of Mount Greylock, the tallest mountain in Massachusetts. A small pond near the entrance is maintained for ice skating, allowing skaters to glide and spin in the great outdoors. Cross-country skiing lessons can also be arranged for those interested in learning this great outdoor winter activity. Rental for skiing, snowshoeing, and skating are available.
When snow is not on the ground, Canterbury Farms is open for hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and enjoying the gardens on the beautifully maintained landscape.
Canterbury Farm also offers a lodge with several rooms and a hearty breakfast to enjoy before heading out on the trails.
Parking is on the west side of Fred Snow Road, with the trails and lodge on the east side.
