About Yanner Park

Yanner Park is located on Hill Town Road in Sandisfield and provides miles of hiking trails through hardwood forests. The park has a large parking lot at its entrance to make arrival and exit easy. Additionally, several picnic tables before the trailhead offer a spot for a snack before or after a hike. Several trail options allow hikers to choose the duration and difficulty of their adventure, and the Vista Loop Trail rewards visitors with a view of the Berkshire Hills. Connector Trail leads to the Clam River Preserve and its associated trails, a parcel of land owned and managed by the Berkshire Natural Resources Council.

The park has been managed and enhanced by the Yanner Park Committee, which has received support from a Berkshire County local environmental non-profit, Greenagers, to build and improve the park's trails. The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Trails Program awarded a grant to the Yanner Park Committee, which was an important asset in the committee's trail development; it enabled the connection between the BNRC Clam River Preserve trails and the Yanner Park trails, ultimately allowing a trail network to exist from/between Hammertown Road and Town Hill Road.

Yanner Park is a peaceful location offering beautiful forested hikes and views unique to Western Massachusetts. Its received work from local collaborators makes this a park rooted in and special to the Berkshires.
