About West End Apartments Play Area
The West End Apartments Play Area is an expansive park and playground in the City of North Adams. The park is ideal for a short day of play in Western Massachusetts. Upon arrival, visitors will notice the park features a vast lawn bordered by a forest. This grassy field is perfect for games of tag, flying kites, and running around. It also provides a quiet space for a picnic, with scenic views of the Berkshires visible. The forest, meanwhile, offers plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Birds are abundant in this area during the summertime.
There is a small playground with swing sets, slides, and benches for parents to rest. The park's west side also has an outdoor basketball court and numerous basketball hoops. This court is excellent for individual practice and team play.
Parking is in a small lot at the end of Greylock Avenue.

This site has a paved parking lot with not designated handicap spots. The parking lot is surrounded by a 4'' curb with no ramp access. There is a large, uneven grass area between the parking lot and the playground. The playground has a similar curb around its border, and offers no accessibility.
