The Wahconah Park Soccer Fields are a family-friendly athletic complex managed by the City of Pittsfield. Visitors have several options for an enjoyable day of outdoor recreation in the Berkshires. Upon arriving at the park, visitors will find an outdoor basketball court. This court is perfect for competitive play and individual practice. Behind the basketball court, meanwhile, there is a small t-ball field. Players can bring their bats and practice their swing.
On the park's west side is an expansive array of soccer fields. These fields host small games and larger tournaments throughout the year's warmer months. They are also excellent for individual practice; visitors can use the nets to practice and improve.
Nearby, visitors will also find the Wahconah Park baseball field. There, visitors will discover a fascinating part of Western Massachusetts history. The arena was initially built in the late 1800s, long before baseball became popular in the United States. The park now hosts games for summer-league collegiate teams.
There is not a designated parking lot for the Wahconah Park Soccer Fields. Visitors should park along the shoulder of Park Street or Beech Street where appropriate. Additional parking is at the Wahconah Park Baseball Field, just off Wahconah Street.
