About Dubow Reserve

Dubow Reserve is an undeveloped woodland property managed by Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC). The property features an open forest of sugar maples and other local tree species. Without a thick layer of underbrush, this forest is ideal for easy navigation. Visitors will likely find plenty of local Western Massachusetts wildlife species on the forest floor, including chipmunks and salamanders.

There is also a large wetland on the north side of the property, which visitors must cross to access the remainder of the parcel. On this side of the property, visitors will often hear the sound of frogs throughout the summertime.

Visitors can access the preserve on the south side of South Mountain Road. There is no designated parking lot, so drivers should park on the road's shoulder where safe.
