About Wahconah Park Baseball Field

Wahconah Park Baseball Field is a small sporting arena managed by the City of Pittsfield. The field is perfect for a family-friendly outing in Western Massachusetts. Throughout the summertime, the Pittsfield Suns—the local summer-league collegiate team—frequently play into the evenings. The field also provides space for high school football games and summertime concerts in the city.

Overall, the small arena creates an intimate environment for spectators. Fans can easily see the game and catch foul balls from their seats. There is also a concession stand and fireworks during night games in summer.

Wahconah Park Baseball Field has a storied history in the Berkshires. The field was initially constructed in the late 1800s, long before baseball became popular in the United States. Then, throughout the next hundred years, the arena would host many baseball legends through minor league games.

Because of its early construction, the stadium has several unique features. The sun sets in the center of the field, causing a "sun delay" for games on summer evenings.

Visitors will find a large parking lot for Wahconah Park Baseball Field off Wahconah Street between Briggs Avenue and Lenox Avenue.
