About Ray Crow Park

Ray Crow Park is a small, family-friendly play area and sporting complex managed by the City of Pittsfield. The park is perfect for a short pitstop on warm summer days in Western Massachusetts. On the park's north side, visitors will find an expansive play area with several swing sets and slides. Benches surround this play area, allowing parents to rest while their children play. Then, next to the playground, visitors will find several picnic tables underneath the shade of large trees. Visitors can bring lunch, picnic, and then play.

The park's south side features a short walking pathway and an outdoor basketball court. The path travels in the shade, providing visitors a place to cool down when the weather is hot. Meanwhile, the basketball court is excellent for both competitive team play and individual practice.

There is no designated parking lot for Ray Crow Park. Visitors can park on the shoulder of Winter Street where appropriate. The east side of the street offers scenic views of the surrounding Berkshires.

Accessibility Assessment

Features
  • Accessible Picnic Tables
  • Accessible Playground

There is no parking area specifically for Ray Crow Park, so visitors will have to park along Winter Street. From Winter Street, there is a path that leads to the basketball courts and the edge of the playground. However, the playground's surface material is wood chips, and the path doesn't directly access the equipment. The path is between 5 and 10 feet wide throughout the park, and the entrance path to the park is three and a half feet wide. The playground equipment is not specifically designed to be ADA accessible.
