South Lee Park is a small, quiet park hidden within Western Massachusetts. Located right on Church Street, the park is a perfect place for all kinds of family-friendly outdoor activities. A small grassy field is shaded by tall trees that surround the perimeter of the park, which has a basketball court, swing set, two slides, a jungle gym, and a play structure shaped like a fire truck, which will truly capture the imagination and curiosity of children playing on it. Multiple picnic tables, benches, and lawn chairs are scattered throughout the flat, grassy expanse of the park. The park's facilities are well-maintained to provide the best possible experience for the visitors and children who find this hidden gem.
This park has limited parking available, but the facilities at the part itself, along with its proximity to countless other engaging destinations and activities, such as the center of Lee, which has lots of excellent restaurants, the Lee Athletic Fields, the Ferncliff Property, as well as October Mountain State Forest, with its numerous hiking trails and roads to explore, make it an ideal location for an outdoor adventure in the Berkshires. Visitors to this area should take the time to explore as much of it as possible, and South Lee Park is one they should not miss.
