Bellows South Trailhead
Greylock Glen
Adams, MA
Hunting | Hiking | Backcountry Skiing
The Pecks Falls Trail is a steep, 0.1-mile hiking trail to a short waterfall. Visitors will find the trailhead for the path off Gould Road. At the beginning of the hike, the waterfall is audible through the trees. Then, as the trail continues to descend through the woods, the sound becomes stronger. Visitors will soon pass through a dense forest, a habitat for many Western Massachusetts wildlife species. While wildflowers thrive on the forest floor in the springtime, birds often make nests far into the tree canopy.
After the short hike, visitors will arrive at Pecks Falls. The upper falls for this cascade are undoubtedly picturesque; the water descends swiftly alongside the forest's mossy rocks. For a more relaxing experience, visitors can sit and listen to the waterfall echo through the woods.
There is no designated parking area for the falls. Visitors should park in the lot for the Greylock Glen Resort or along the shoulder of Gould Road where appropriate.
