North Becket Village Park is located on Maple Street in Becket and provides outdoor recreation opportunities for people of all ages. The park has several large, open grass spaces for many different activities, such as frisbee or flag football games, playing fetch with a dog, or lying in the grass and picnicking. There is also a soccer field where youth and adult competitive or recreational athletic events can be held, and an adjacent pavilion provides a picnic table and a shaded area to rest. Fitness structures in the park provide an additional opportunity for exercise.
The property of North Becket Village Park was vacant until the Parks and Recreation Committee, with the help of volunteers, cleaned up and removed invasive plant species in the area for its repurposing. The Becket Washington School is across the street from the park, which makes the park an ideal space to host scholastic (athletic) events outside. Visitors hoping to enjoy the outdoor offerings of the Berkshires or exercise in a fun and unique way can utilize North Becket Village Park's amenities but should be cognizant if the space is being used by the neighboring school. Relatedly, parking in the school lot is available when school is not in session.
