About Fernside Road Parking

The Fernside Road Parking area is an alternative access point for the Hop Brook Wildlife Management Area in Western Massachusetts. It is ideal for hunters due to its easy access to grassy meadows and forests. This remote area provides hunters easy access to the fields and forests. The parking area itself is a small dirt pull-off on Fernside Road, a secluded, uncommonly used road where visitors can enjoy the stunning landscape of the Berkshires. Within Hop Brook from this parking area, visitors can remove themselves from the bustle of the developed world and truly immerse themselves in the natural environments around them through countless outdoor activities, such as hunting, birding, mushroom picking, and backcountry hiking.

Located in Lee, MA, the Hop Brook WMA is a pristine conservation area filled with outdoor opportunities. Visitors can walk or bike on the paved roads through the site or trek through the lush, grassy meadows and the dense forests around the Housatonic River. This is a popular location for hunting due to the variety of wildlife, such as white-tailed deer, turkeys, and geese. The opportunities available in the Hop Brook Wildlife Management Area and the easy access that the Fernside Road Parking provides make this an ideal spot for outdoor activities in the Berkshires.
