This pull-off on Route 8 provides picnicking along the banks of the Farmington River. In addition, adventurous paddlers can access the river to ride the rapids when the water is high.

Access to the Farmington River can be found directly off Route 8, in a paved, flat lot. The lot is slightly uneven, with a few gravel sections. The parking area provides room for at least five cars to park. A short, narrow trail with rocky sections leads from the parking area to the Farmington River. There is a small picnic area adjacent to the parking lot, featuring a standard picnic table.
