Bousquet Mountain is a skiing and hiking area in the City of Pittsfield. The mountain has a storied history in Western Massachusetts; it was the first skiing hill in the United States to offer night skiing.
During wintertime, visitors will find two chairlifts and a variety of ski runs that descend 750 feet of vertical drop. Adventure-seekers will also find a tubing area near the bottom of the mountain, perfect for a break from skiing or snowboarding.
At the bottom of the hill, a bunny hill with magic carpets is excellent for those learning to ski. There are then black diamond trails near the top of the mountain, which provide plenty of space for experts to improve their skills. The hill also features a terrain park that allows thrill-seekers to perform tricks.
During the summer, the mountain continues to have programming. The space holds summer events, hosts an expansive disc golf course, and serves as a trailhead for several hiking trails. At the top of the hill, hikers will access scenic views of the surrounding Berkshires and the City of Pittsfield.
Visitors will find a large parking lot off Dan Fox Drive. A wintertime shuttle also leaves from Pittsfield Country Club, ensuring that drivers do not have to worry about parking.
