About Marchisio Park
Henry V. Marchisio Memorial Park is a playground and athletic complex managed by the City of Pittsfield. The park is perfect for a short day of outdoor recreation in the Berkshires.
Immediately, at the parking lot, visitors will find an outdoor basketball court. This court is excellent for athletes of all ages, whether for competitive team play or individual exercise. There is also a small baseball diamond on the side of the park, where visitors can practice their swing. Then, further into the park, visitors will find a small volleyball court.
The park also features an expansive grass field and a forest of floodplain trees. Many local Western Massachusetts wildlife species, including birds and insects, are easily heard throughout spring and summer. Visitors can bring a blanket, lie in the field, and listen to the wildlife play in the forest.
The park is also ideal for a family picnic. A small playground rests in the lawn's northern corner, providing ample entertainment for kids on warm summer days. Several benches surround the play area, allowing parents to relax and watch their children play.
Visitors will find a large dirt parking lot off southbound Dalton Division Road. A walking bridge also connects the park with a nearby residential area.
