The West Stockbridge Town Park provides visitors and locals with hours of family-friendly fun. Nestled behind the town's public library, the park has multiple features for families seeking fun things to do in the Berkshires. The park has a sizeable playground equipped with multiple slides, jungle gyms, swing sets, and more. A Little League-sized baseball field is tucked in the back corner of the park, while a full-sized soccer field is right in front of the parking lot. Additionally, parkgoers can use the tennis and basketball courts, making the park suitable for a wide variety of ball sports.
A medium-sized skatepark is located next to the parking lot. The skate park contains mostly mild features tailored to those working on their craft or learning freestyle for the first time. Skateboarding, BMX biking, and scootering are all suitable for these features. The park also contains multiple picnic tables and grills, with many options for a shaded picnic spot. Dogs are welcome at the park, and there has been discussion in the town government about creating a doggy playground near the tennis courts.
Visitors can park in the main parking lot for the library and town offices. The park has most of the amenities visitors would need, such as garbage cans and portable restrooms in the summer. However, visitors should still be prepared with additional necessities for a long day outdoors in Western Massachusetts.
