Sand Springs Pool & Recreational Center is an outdoor community pool in Williamstown. Upon arrival, visitors will find a small swimming pool and a hot tub that receive water from underground natural springs. In the past, these thermal springs—a rare phenomenon in Western Massachusetts—were thought to have healing powers for illnesses and other ailments.

Now, the spring provides water for Sand Springs Pool & Recreational Center, perfect for a hot summer day in the Berkshires. While adults can visit the pool in the morning and go lap swimming, families can frequent the pool in the afternoon and play in the water. Lifeguards are always on-duty to ensure the water is safe for visitors of all swimming abilities.

Then, alongside the pool, Sand Springs features an expansive lawn with picnic tables and deck chairs. Here, visitors can lounge under the sun and eat lunch between swims. A snack stand is also available throughout the day.

Visitors will find parking for the pool off Spring Water Lane: a small street that intersects with Sand Springs Road. The center offers daily and seasonal passes at varying price points.
