About RRR Brooks Trailhead

The RRR Brooks Trailhead will bring visitors to an expansive hiking area near Williamstown. Overall, the trailhead is perfect for an enjoyable day of outdoor recreation in Western Massachusetts. Upon leaving the road, visitors will enter a dense beech-maple forest. Then, the trail crosses a small stream and reaches a junction. Toward the left, visitors can hike on the RRR brooks trail toward the Fitch Trail. The right, meanwhile, will connect visitors with additional hiking trails on the Hunter property.

Near the top of the Sara Tenney Trail, at its intersection with the RRR Brooks Trail, is a picnic table with panoramic scenic views of the surrounding Berkshires. Visitors can bring lunch, eat, and watch the clouds pass overhead. When the weather cools in autumn, this area also showcases the yellows and oranges of fall foliage on the mountains.

There is no designated parking lot for the RRR Brooks trailhead. Visitors should walk from Williamstown or park on the shoulder of Bee Hill Road where appropriate. There is also an overlook further down Bee Hill Road, which offers views of Sheep Hill and Mount Greylock.
