The park's primary attraction is the colorful play structure for children to enjoy climbing through, next to two large swing sets. The playground facilities are a perfect place for children to embrace their imagination and creativity while spending some quality time in the great outdoors. Just across the park's small grassy field is a recreational baseball field for visitors to practice their swing, run the bases, or play catch. Ore Bed Park is surrounded by lush vegetation, sheltering it and making it a quiet spot for a snack on the picnic tables, a game of pickup soccer, or any family-friendly outdoor activity.
The park has a dirt and gravel parking lot on level ground, which makes it a perfect and accessible spot for visitors of all ages and abilities to enjoy. It is located on Housatonic Street, just a short drive from the center of Lenox, which has several excellent restaurants to try out. Also, just a short drive away are a few other popular destinations in the Berkshires: Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and The Mount, Edith Wharton's ancestral home.
