Kennedy Park is a popular location in Lenox, MA, due to its vast hiking and biking trail network passing through acres of dense forests, quaint vernal pools, and stunning views of the valley and Parsons Marsh. Multiple trailheads with access points all around the park lead to all the breathtaking scenic spots throughout the park. The Kennedy Park Belvedere gives a stunning view of the Housatonic River Valley and Parsons Marsh below and is only a short hike from many parking areas. Gazebos and benches scattered throughout the forest provide quiet and sheltered locations for visitors to rest on a hike or enjoy a picnic. Keen-eyed and quiet visitors to Kennedy Park can spot any of the numerous species of wildlife that call the Berkshires home. The park has endless surprises for visitors, from hawks and owls to deer and foxes.
The trails in the park have varying degrees of difficulty. Still, Kennedy Park has great signage indicating which trails are what level of challenge, and there are maps scattered throughout the park to help navigate the trail system. Additionally, the trails are wide and well-maintained.
