War Memorial Park is a location in Lenox, MA, that is an excellent location for any family-friendly outdoor activities in the Berkshires. The main attraction at the park is a pristine baseball field, home to the Lenox baseball program. The area has tall fences around the perimeter to protect spectators from foul balls, allowing them to enjoy watching Lenox baseball games safely. It also has full above-ground dugouts for the players to be sheltered from bad weather during a game or practice. A batting cage on the left field side of the baseball diamond is available for visitors to practice their hitting and pitching skills. Surrounding the field is a dense forest with tall trees that shelter the park and vines climbing up and down the outfield fence.
The park has a large dirt parking area that is flat and easily accessible for visitors of all abilities. War Memorial Park is only a short drive away from the center of Lenox, which has multiple restaurants, a public library, and other destinations. Additionally, nearby are two of Western Massachusetts's most popular locations: Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and The Mount, Edith Wharton's ancestral home.
