About Old Baldy Wildlife Sanctuary

Old Baldy Wildlife Sanctuary provides hikers with an amazing 360-degree view from the cleared summit. Parking at the lot on Norton Road, visitors can climb the steep but short 0.3-mile trail to the summit. Once on top, visitors can view the hardwood forests surrounding the mountain in every direction. Distant views of Otis Reservoir and other surrounding mountains and lakes make this a unique experience in the Berkshires. While there, keep your eyes open for resident moose and bear. The summit is being kept clear to help restore habitat for the New England Cottontail.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on this property.
