Mahanna Cobble is a reserve and hiking area managed by Berkshire Natural Resources Council. The Mahanna Cobble Trail leaves from the trailhead and eventually arrives at expansive scenic views of the surrounding mountains. After leaving the parking lot, visitors will follow signs and hike across the ski trails at Bousquet Mountain. These trails are used throughout the wintertime, and hikers should exercise caution when enough snow has fallen.
Soon, visitors will leave the ski area and enter dense woodland. The trail steeply climbs throughout this section, bringing visitors to a rocky outcropping with excellent views of the Berkshires. When the weather cools in autumn, these mountains burst with the yellows and oranges of fall foliage. Visitors can picnic and relax while overlooking the gorgeous mountainside.
Then, beyond this lookout, the path will end at the Yokun Ridge Trail. Visitors can follow this trail to additional scenic views at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and, ultimately, the Town of Lenox. In the summertime, hikers can also head north toward Bousquet Mountain and access a view of Pittsfield and other Western Massachusetts towns.
From the trailhead there are many hikes available, Mahanna Cobble Visita is a 1.6 mile hike, Yokun Seat Summit is a 3.3 mile, Lenox Mountain Summit is a 3.7 mile hike, Plesant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is a 4.9 mile hike, Kennedy Park Trailhead at the Arcadian Shop is a 7 mile hike, Kripalu center for Yoga & Health is a 8.5 mile hike and Lenox Village is a 8.25 mile hike via Kennedy park or a 10 mile hike via Kripalu.
Visitors will find parking in a large lot at Bousquet Mountain. There, an informational kiosk provides trail maps and helps guide visitors to the pathway.

Mahanna Cobble shares a parking lot with Bousquet Mountain. Bousquet Mountain's parking lot has six accessible parking spots. However, there is no direct paved path access from the parking spots to the trail head, as they are on opposite ends of the parking lot from each other. The Mahanna Coble Trail is a 3.2-mile out-and-back trail that runs up to the top of the Yokun Ridge. The trail is described by its informational sign as being difficult and strenuous due to elevation changes, with 780 feet of elevation gain to Georges Bench. The trail is 8 feet wide at the bottom, but trail conditions are variable as the trail goes on, with some sections being single track and some sections being over 12% slope.
