Forest Park Country Club is a nine-hole golf course in the Town of Adams. Overall, this golf course is ideal for a short day of golfing in Western Massachusetts. Upon arrival at the parking lot, visitors will find a small clubhouse. This building includes a bar that is often open for golfers. There is also a banquet room for larger events.
The nine holes, which are bordered by a tall forest of pines and maples, feature short fairways and complex curves. The greens are usually small, forcing golfers to focus on improving their putting and chipping. Some of the holes also provide expansive scenic views of the surrounding Berkshires. Hole 8, for example, is well-known for its views of Mount Greylock: the tallest mountain in Massachusetts. When the weather begins to cool in autumn, this mountain erupts with the yellows and oranges of fall colors. It is also a great place to see the trees bloom in early spring.
Visitors can choose to walk the holes or take a cart. Along with memberships, the club also offers day passes. The parking lot is off Forest Park Avenue, easily accessible from downtown Adams.
