About Soldiers Memorial Field

Soldiers Memorial Field is an expansive athletic complex north of Adams. Visitors to the park will find an array of well-maintained sports fields, including multiple soccer fields and a baseball field. With large bleachers and stadium lights, these fields are perfect for evening games with packed audiences. But, on quiet afternoons, they serve as an ideal space for one-on-one practice.

The park is also excellent for a family-friendly picnic in Western Massachusetts. From the fields, visitors can access scenic views of the Berkshires. Toward the east, the peaks of the Hoosac Range rise above the town of Adams below. Then, to the west, the park provides a view of Mount Greylock and the surrounding hills. On a warm summer day, visitors can relax at a picnic table and eat lunch beneath the mountains. When autumn arrives, these mountains become lively with the yellows and oranges of fall colors.

Soldiers Memorial Field offers many parking spots on the side of Lincoln Street, between Friend Street and Valley Street. There is also a portable toilet at the park.
