The Day Mountain Wildlife Management Area is home to an assortment of trees, primarily including hardwoods such as sugar maple, with white pines scattered throughout. The natural landscape provides opportunities for encountering various animal species and may function as an optimal site for birding in the Berkshires. Since much of the land is not maintained, The Day Moutain Wildlife Management Area offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a fully natural Western Massachusetts forest and experience more rugged hiking in the Berkshires.
