About Christopher R. Porter Memorial Park
Christopher R. Porter Memorial Park is a field and playground managed by the City of Pittsfield. Overall, the park is perfect for a short pitstop in the Berkshires. Upon arrival at the park, visitors will find a swing set, a small play area, and an expansive field. Kids can climb on the playground or play games of tag on the lawn. There are also tall spruce trees at the park's center, which often sway and echo with the wind. These trees provide ample shade on hot summer days in Western Massachusetts.
Near the playground is a bench where parents can rest while their kids play. The park also has a picnic table, excellent for lunch on warm days. Families can eat and watch the local wildlife roam in the surrounding forest.
There is no designated parking lot for Christopher R. Porter Memorial Park. Visitors can park on the shoulder of McAllister Street, which intersects with Highland Avenue on the park's north side.
