About Chamberlain Park
Chamberlain Park is a neighborhood park on Chamberlain Ave in Dalton's east side. The 9.2 acre park offers a variety of outdoor activities to the public. Its baseball, softball, and soccer fields provide spaces for competitive and recreational youth athletics. The half-court and its basketball hoop invite informal players or pickup games, and the playground, equipped with swings, a slide, and a jungle gym, invites families and younger children to utilize the park as well. Open field space offers opportunities for a variety of other activities, such as hitting a golf ball, throwing a frisbee, or playing fetch with a dog.
Chamberlain Park is also near Dalton's downtown, meaning the location is central and easily accessible, also shown by its proximity to public transportation options. In addition to its various outdoor recreation options, the park's property conveniently includes handicap accessible bathrooms. Also noteworthy is that the Dalton CRA utilizes the space for recreational activities during summer months by hosting youth camps. Chamberlain Park provides excellent opportunities for individuals to enjoy the outdoor activities available in Western Massachusetts, and for teams, towns, and communities to compete and collaborate within Berkshire County.

Accessibility Assessment
There are no accessible features at this location.
When first arriving, visitors will notice a hard packed gravel lot with 10 parking spaces; however, the lot does not contain any formal accessible parking. Once in the parking lot, visitors will notice there is no path access to the playing fields, playground, basketball court, or restrooms. A one-foot wood lip also surrounds the playground, and the playground contains woodchips.
