About Alice Bubriski Memorial Playground
The Alice Bubriski Memorial Playground is a perfect destination for anyone interested in family-friendly outdoor activities in the Berkshires. Hidden within Great Barrington, MA, and nestled right on the Housatonic River, the playground has countless opportunities to inspire and capture the imagination of any child who enjoys its bounty of activities. A large, grassy hill lies in the middle of the enclosed playground, right next to the expansive play area. A paved basketball court with three full-height hoops is available adjacent to the play structures, including multiple swing sets of varying sizes, a jungle gym, a structure with various obstacles to climb on and over, and a bright green plastic slide. On the other side of the grassy hill is an area with outdoor gym equipment, such as pull-up bars and other calisthenics equipment. Picnic tables are scattered throughout the park, in the grassy area, on top of the hill, and near the basketball court and playground. These tables are new and clean, so they are an excellent facility for families to enjoy a picnic or other small gathering. Parking is available on the street right next to the fenced park. Three portable restrooms sit adjacent to the Pleasant Street entrance. The Alice Bubriski Memorial Playground is an excellent location for family-friendly outdoor recreation in Western Massachusetts.
