Things to do in Tyringham
Tyringham has several excellent hiking trails, including the Tyringham Cobble, Ashintully Gardens, Lower Goose Pond, and McLennan Reservation, all managed by the Trustees of Reservations. The Appalachian Trail passes through the town for 12.5 miles.
The southern shores of both Upper and Lower Goose Pond are in the town with a public boat ramp on Lower Goose Pond. This cold-water pond holds trout over multiple seasons and has been designated a special Brown Trout population. The Appalachian Trail passes around Upper Goose Pond, and the Appalachian Mountain Club operates the Upper Goose Pond Cabin for AT hikers.
