Snowshoeing | Hiking | Fishing
The Stockbridge Bowl Boat Ramp allows boaters to access the beauty of a small picturesque lake. A wide, paved ramp means launching any watercraft into the Stockbridge Bowl is an easy experience. Paddlers will also find the ramp a perfect starting point for a day of canoeing or kayaking on the lake. Once on the water, visitors can enjoy watching local wildlife. Waterfowl often stop at the lake while migrating through Western Massachusetts, making the boat ramp an excellent spot for birders. The lake also features a variety of fish species, including perch and trout. Anglers will undoubtedly have a long, peaceful day of fishing.
The boat ramp area offers two benches where visitors can picnic as they overlook the lake and its silent ripples. During fall, the Stockbridge Bowl provides gorgeous views as the leaves on the Berkshires become vibrant with color.
The large parking lot is off Interlaken Road, north of Old Colonial Road. Long stands of trees provide shade on both sides of the lot during different times of the day. There is also a portable toilet near the boat launch.
