About Ponderosa Pine Campground
Ponderosa Pine Campground is a family-friendly camping area in Lanesbourough, perfect for a long weekend or an extended stay in the Berkshires. Upon arrival, visitors will find a quiet forest environment with plenty of campsites. Some of the sites have water and electricity, and there are bathroom facilities for guests. Visitors will also see small, spring-fed ponds close to the campground entrance.
Near Ponderosa Pine Campground, visitors will find many local attractions. Within walking distance are parking lots for Pittsfield State Forest, which has several options for an enjoyable day of outdoor recreation in Western Massachusetts. Balanced Rock, for example, is a unique geologic feature on a hiking trail just north of the camping area. Then, there is an ATV parking lot further down Potter Mountain Road, where thrill-seekers can start a day of driving on an extensive trail network. Visitors can also go hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding here throughout the summer.
Visitors will find Ponderosa Pine Campground at the end of Potter Mountain Road, which branches from Balance Rock Road. To the south, there are numerous shops and restaurants in the City of Pittsfield.
