The Klondike Camping Resort, located on Route 8 in Otis, is a private gated campground covering 270 acres along the west branch of the Farmington River. The campground offers individual 1/3-acre sites for private ownership or rental, which are ideal for experiencing the outdoor offerings of Western Massachusetts, including several recreational land and water activities.
Shoreline fishing is available from several sites on the campground, and hiking opportunities exist throughout the site. Additionally, Klondike’s campus includes several facilities to bolster the activities available while at the campground. A recent pool installation provides guests with swimming and relaxation opportunities. A clubhouse, poolside café, tennis court, basketball and volleyball courts, playground, and horseshoe pits give visitors several sources and options for entertainment. Activities on the grounds are also planned throughout the year, and Sunday Breakfasts are served at the poolside café during the summertime.
The Klondike Camping Resort is a great spot for families and vacationers to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of Berkshire County, and Otis provides an excellent town for visitors to experience. Nearby attractions include Jacob’s Pillow, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Hancock Shaker Village, Mount Greylock, Tanglewood, and the Normal Rockwell Museum, to name a few.
