About Kessler Road

Kessler Road Conservation Area is an undeveloped woodland property managed by Berkshires Natural Resources Council (BNRC). Upon arrival at the parking lot, visitors will find a dense forest of maples and oaks. Plenty of local Western Massachusetts wildlife species, including songbirds and amphibians, will be visible in this forest throughout the spring and summer. Then, during wintertime, visitors will likely find many animal tracks.

Visitors will find a small parking lot on the shoulder of Kessler Road, just after it branches from Scott Road. Kessler Road Conservation Area is open for hunting during the appropriate seasons in the Berkshires. Due to its location in a low-traffic area, the property is an ideal place to find white-tailed deer in late November.
