Huttopia has been pioneering the ready-to-camp concept for over 25 years, transforming camping into an art of living. Founded in France in 1999, the family-owned company has established itself as a leading player in ecotourism, operating eight destinations across the United States and Canada with a mission to blend nature, comfort, and aesthetics on unspoiled sites.
The Huttopia experience centers on thoughtfully designed ready-to-camp accommodations that nestle harmoniously into the Berkshires. From wood-and-canvas platform tents to fully equipped cabins, each accommodation provides rustic charm without sacrificing modern comforts and luxuries. Their philosophy focuses on welcoming families—often city dwellers—who seek simple, direct contact with nature while discovering regional culture in an environmentally friendly manner.
Huttopia Berkshires was selected to showcase the unique beauty and culture of its region, offering 55 accommodations that overlook Jiminy Peak and serve as the perfect gateway to the Berkshires’ rich cultural offerings. From solar powered accommodations to sustainably and locally sourced firewood, Huttopia is committed to sustainable tourism practices and low-density development.
Huttopia offers central parking areas for peaceful, car-free stays, on-site bistros, and curated activities that encourage exploration of nearby attractions, including Jiminy Peak Resort and numerous hiking trails, rather than extensive on-site entertainment. The ready-to-camp accommodations come fully equipped with real beds, kitchens, and modern amenities, allowing guests to travel light while experiencing comfort in nature.

Due to its recent opening in July 2025, Huttopia has limited accessibility accommodations at this time. They are currently in the process of incorporating more accessible features, and plan to have this phase of development completed by the end of Spring 2026. The cafe-bistro and camp store building offers ADA compliant features, including two accessible restrooms. The current campsites and living accommodations offer limited accessibility features. The main campsites are located along flat, loose gravel roads, and require going up 1' high steps to enter. The main building, campsites, playground, and pool are all connected by gravel paths and wooden ramps. These gravel paths are less than 5% in grade. The pool has an ADA pool lift for wheelchairs users. The playground has components directly touching the mulch flooring, but there is no ramp to climb up the playset.
