About Bas Ridge Golf Course

Bas Ridge Golf Course is a family-run, 18-hole golf course in the heart of Hinsdale. The course takes advantage of its rolling landscape as each hole offers a unique setup. The iconic first hole provides spectacular views of the hills of the Berkshires as golfers tee into a blind downhill fairway. Beautiful forests immerse golfers in a serene environment that rivals that of any other Western Massachusetts course. By hole 9, golfers wrap back around the first hole, where they can grab a drink and snack before venturing to the more difficult half of the course. Holes 14 and 16 are considered the hardest, as they require navigating the ball over tricky terrain with narrow fairways. The total par is 70, with a course rating/slope of 63.7/111.

Visitors can purchase 9-hole and 18-hole games with or without a cart, while memberships are available for individuals and families who plan to visit more frequently. Although a couple of holes are sure to challenge even the most experienced golfers, the low total yardage and generally moderate course difficulty make Bas Ridge an excellent, family-friendly setting for golfers of all abilities. There is a practice green for those looking to sharpen up before playing, and golfers can purchase snacks and beverages from a fully stocked bar. Additionally, there is a pro shop with club rentals, new and used balls, pullcarts, and more.

The course is located off Plunkett Avenue in Hinsdale. Visitors should note that Bas Ridge does not accept credit cards. Course rules and regulations can be found on the scorecard.
