Hiking
Tyringham Town Park is a family-friendly park that offers hours of fun in the serene Tyringham Valley. Children enjoy the expansive playground with multiple slides, jungle gyms, and swingsets. Away from the equipment, parkgoers can play on the basketball court or trek to the park's southern edge to use a backstop, a perfect place for kids to practice their baseball skills. Between these sites is a large open field, commonly used for playing soccer, picnicking, or taking in the surrounding views of Tyringham Cobble and the historic town center of Tyringham, one of the smallest towns in Western Massachusetts. The park is fenced and is rarely busy.
The park is equipped with shaded benches and a little free library, where all visitors are encouraged to take and leave a book. One of the more unique features of the park is a wooden train, which is a big hit among the park's youngest visitors. Tyringham Town Park is also one of a few parks in the Berkshires that contains a tire swing, offering families a thrilling way to finish the day before heading home. A small grass parking lot is located near the park across Main Road. A visible crosswalk guides visitors across the road to the park's entrance.
