The Stockbridge Golf Club is a golf course and tennis complex near the town center of Stockbridge. Overall, visitors will have many options for an enjoyable day of outdoor recreation in Western Massachusetts.
The club features a no-tee-time, 18-hole golf course that travels alongside the Housatonic River. Much of the course has scenic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Berkshires in the distance. Although most of the holes are short, the river means that the course is appropriately difficult for all golfers. Some of the fairways cross or run adjacent to the water, providing many challenges to navigate. In short, both beginners and experts will have numerous opportunities to improve their skills.
There are also several tennis/pickleball courts at the club. Visitors will find synthetic grass and green clay courts, which offer plenty of variety for competitive team play.
The Stockbridge Golf Club was founded in the late 1800s, making it one of the oldest golf clubs in the region. Visitors will find a large parking lot off Main Street, just across from the intersection with Church Street. The club is not open to the public; visitors must be a member to play the course.
