About Springside Ave Baseball Field

Springside Avenue Baseball Field is a sporting complex and playground within Pittsfield's Springside Park. Overall, this section of the park is perfect for an enjoyable day of outdoor recreation in the Berkshires. Immediately upon arrival at the parking lot, visitors will see a large baseball field and an outdoor basketball court. These sporting arenas are excellent arenas for competitive team play and individual practice. There are also batting cages where visitors can practice their swing.

The side of the park, meanwhile, has an expansive playground area. Benches populate this area, resting idly underneath the shade of small maple trees. Parents can relax in the shade and watch their kids play.

Springside Park is a 237-acre property managed by the City of Pittsfield. The property grew from the Springside House, constructed in the mid-1800s. After almost becoming a commercial golf course, the park experienced a revival and is now home to numerous Western Massachusetts outdoor recreation opportunities. The city currently plans to renovate the park's facilities, including possibly adding mountain biking trails.

Visitors will find parking for the baseball field in a paved lot off Springside Avenue. The parking lot offers bathroom facilities and access to the network of hiking trails in Springside Park.
