About PFC Peter A. Cook Veterans Memorial Field

The PFC Peter. A Cook Veterans Memorial Field is an ideal family-friendly spot in Western Massachusetts. Upon arriving at the park, visitors will see a large field with scenic views of the Hoosac Range towards the northeast. When the weather cools, these mountains become painted with vibrant shades of yellow and orange. A small walking path in the park allows visitors to detour from the sidewalk and get a better perspective of the Berkshires in the distance. The park also becomes lively in spring and summer with freshly potted flowers.

In addition to its large open field, the park offers an outdoor basketball court and a small baseball field. These spaces are perfect for team play and one-on-one practice in the Berkshires. The park also serves as an event space. A large pavilion and picnic area make the park great for small lunches and large gatherings. Horseshoe pits, right next to the pavilion, provide plenty of entertainment for visitors on warm summer days.

Small parking spaces are on the shoulder of Cross Road, north of the elementary school.
