About Mount Hunger

Mount Hunger, owned by the Monterey Preservation Land Trust and managed by the Berkshire Natural Resources Council, is a large property with an extensive trail network. An out-and-back trail traverses Mount Hunger's slopes and provides distant views of the Taconics and Lee. The trail, which is just under 2-miles round trip, takes hikers past old stone walls and foundations. The trail is a mixed forest and will take hikers past large rock outcrops. MassWildlife owns an easement on the property and allows hunting.
